Thanksgiving Week '11

This Thanksgiving week has been filled with several noteworthy events...

Little Prince decided to walk instead of crawl for his now primary mode of transportation this week (on the day he turned 13 months).

My first parent/teacher where I'm the parent and not the teacher.  T's doing really well in Kindergarten and we could not be more proud of our sweet boy!

My dear father-in-law (who was laid off a year ago) got a job this week!  Praise the Lord!!

I celebrated my 35th birthday this week!  Half way to 70!!  :)

I've made it to Day 12  today of a month long challenge to remove all sweets from my diet in order to support a friend who's doing it until her birthday.  It needs to be said that I have never deprived myself of sweets before!  (I did miraculously celebrate my b-day w/o cake and Thanksgiving w/o pumpkin pie...like I said, it did take a miracle since I don't know I had that much will power!)

And tonight we celebrated a wonderful Thanksgiving with my wonderful in-laws and dear friends.  To sweeten the evening even more tonight was the time spent with my dear friend and her precious newborn daughter.

Weeks like this don't happen often, (I'm reminded of 2 years ago this week when we had a miscarriage the day before Thanksgiving).  I truly do not want to forget these incredible blessings given to this simple girl.

God is so good!  We are thankful beyond words as we reflect upon Him this Thanksgiving season.  Especially for these sweet and silly boys:

Here's wishing you a Very Happy Thanksgiving

From our family to yours!
