"The land you are ... to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end. ~ Deuteronomy 11:11-12
Knowing full well that this year make likely include mountains and valleys, I find comfort in knowing that before me IS a land that the Lord God does care for.
Although at times the going is challenging, He has gone before me to pave the way -- sprinkling flowers where I can discover them as love notes; opening clouds and sending sun bursts in the middle of an otherwise stormy sky to remind me of His enduring faithfulness. All the while, He's watering the grass with His rain so it may be lush and lovely to behold as I pass by.
Whatever this year beholds, I pray my eyes will be open to His glory around every bend and curve along the journey -- both in the mountains and valleys.
