Another delightful first for us this year. Our own suburban vegetable garden (I like to call it our "mini-farm"). Complete with a tiny white picket fence. (You'll have to bear with my extreme excitement and delight in this simple yet profound progress of plants!) :)
Early May when our vegetable garden planting began, we would have never guessed the joy our boys would find in observing the slow but steady growth of each of the plants. Who knew the job of gathering of the veggies would be one of the highlights of their day?!
From the little seeds came an abundance of tasty veggies growing each day...
Now most of the plants tower above the adorable little fence.
How good it is for children (and adults!) to observe and assist in the slow and steady progress of things that are healthy and fruitful. :)
