The Latest!

A few updates as we finish taping up boxes and load things into a storage container in a couple of days…

First, the exciting announcement:  I will indeed be teaching next year at the boys' school!!  :)

Next, a huge praise that we have officially closed on our land and our current house and will be wrapping up almost a decade in this sweet house in a few days.

We will then be heading to our annual Rockies road trip at the end of next week to soak up time with extended family then return to our new property where we plan to live in our camper as we watch our farmhouse being built!

It's a great thing we love adventures!  (I will begin the more regular updates too as each exciting step is made with our farmhouse as we dive into a large undertaking!)

Below are the house plans that were just drawn up and placed into our hands 3 days ago…now seems SO much more real as we hold onto the plans with our own hands for the first time!  We decided on a white barn-style house with board and batten, metal roof and 2 front doors.

Here is a picture of a house very similar to ours:

and will have barn shutters on the top and perhaps the bottom windows like this:

Where we're at presently:  our land has been dramatically cleared, the house drawings are now on to engineering then to the county then we can begin to break ground.  We're hoping to break ground by August  -- if all the papers come through quickly!  Prayers are most welcome!  :)

The picture at top of this post is of our cleared land.  This is where the wagon-wheel drive way will be created to curve through the trees then meander down to the house.

Here are our boys and the soon-to-be close-by cousins as they carefully design their forts in our new woods:

To say we are excited about what's to come is an understatement!  :)  Can't wait to send more pics soon!
