Fall has arrived here on our humble farmland! Our homesteading takeaway this summer: implement both plant-based AND animal based soil instead of just plant-based. :) We will count our blessings that we were gifted with a sprinkling of cheery sunflowers, thriving kale and a couple of pumpkins!
Another mentionable in our homesteading progression is the completion of our chicken run. Our sweet girls can now run (and semi-fly!) in the safety of their own gated community -- Jack Russell free! :)
P brought a chair into the chicken run so he can read with his chickens. :)
He's adorable but don't let his good looks fool you for this puppy is a MIGHTY force to be reckoned with!
