River and Woods Christmas Tree Adventure

This may just look like just another tree in the forest on a beautiful Northwest mountainside, however, this is our very special chosen tree.  The one that we found ("we" meaning my dear husband!) weeks before while on a lovely fall hiking trip.  Now, having cathedral ceilings in our new farmhouse, we can enjoy a *bit* taller tree!  (We are SO thankful that in our neck of the woods, a very affordable permit to cut your own tree in the forest from the ranger station is all you need!)

Making a mental note on the exact location, (off the trail and up a hillside), we carefully planned another adventure to bring our beautiful tree home -- successful we were in navigating the tricky timing of close-enough-to-Christmas yet careful not to be snowed in.  It came in extremely helpful that boys are now old enough to be a huge help in transporting the tree and of course, my dear father-in-law was also up for assisting in the endeavor!

There it is!!

As we finished up our adventure, the sunset painted a picturesque, pastel backdrop!  A perfect ending to our amazing Christmas tree acquisition!
Thank you, Lord for another safe and breathtaking adventure!
