Happy Easter! :)
Easter is one of my favorite times of year! I love to be able to take time to remember what Jesus did for us all as He paid the ultimate price of His life on the cross so that all who believe in Him may be able to spend eternity with Him in paradise! ~ John 3:16
This weekend was packed full as we traveled with all the families of our couple's Bible study group to a Christian camp where we helped do a service project and witness the re-enactment of Jesus' last days on earth.
The camping part was exciting for the boys and exhausting for us, but I think it went down in the memory books as a bonding experience.
The re-enactment was really powerful. It was an amazing way for our boys to grasp the gravity of Jesus dying on the cross and then on Easter, the awesome power of His rising again. It was done in a way that would not be haunting or disturbing for kids (or adults) but at the same time, you felt like you were one of the members of the crowd 2,000 years ago.
When we got home yesterday afternoon, we were able to end the weekend on a very sweet note with my husband's parents and brother for Easter dinner. To the boys' delight, the grandparents made SURE the boys were able to have an Easter egg hunt and dye eggs too! :)
Then, they followed the egg path outside to the playhouse to find 2 Easter presents waiting for them!!
Thanks for the great treasure hunt, Grandma K and Grandpa J!!
Fun Times with Family!!
