Well...I am holding my breath since it really seems to good to be true, but I could not help but report on the past few nights with the boys.
For the 3rd night in a row we have had an incredibly successful "tuck-in/good night" with our boys.
As soon as we close the door there has been nothing but silence! I keep thinking that it seems like we're missing something. I turn the monitor up REALLY loudly to pick up ANY whispering...NOTHING!
Could it really be THIS easy?!
Seriously?!
I'm still prepared to reinforce the following morning with a consequence of their time given back to me if needed.
We also discovered a magic tool in the morning that has worked beautifully too!
I remembered hearing my friend Rachel mention that she found an alarm clock to help her boys know when it's ok to get up before they knew how to tell time.
We found one and ordered it on-line and have loved the results! It glows white all night until it reaches the desired time the kids can get out of bed. At that point, it changes to green!
Since P still naps he will sometimes wake before big brother. So now, he can glance over at the clock across the room and tip toe out when he sees the green light. I wish I had invented this!! Every parent should have access to one of these when their kids are little!

HAHA! I love the clock! So glad all is going so well!
Sweet girl--just think if we had that in the "Catherine is almost blind" era! Congratulations on taking back the night! How great for you--and the boys. Blessings to you all.
What a great clock! I need one for Eli. :)
Yea! Kids sharing a room successfully is a beautiful thing!
Yay! And awesome clock! I wish I would have known that exsisted! When Havah was younger we hooked her night light up to a timer, and if the night light was off when she woke up, she could get up. For Henry, we told him that if his digital clock says 7:3...he could get up. There were a lot of confusing and claifying conversations about that one. That neat clock would have made things a whole lot easier!
I am so glad things are still going well! AND I am so glad you told us about the clock! I have always wanted something like that, especially for Drew, since he is an early riser. My kids have been sleeping in wonderfully so far this summer, but I am definitely getting one of those for the Fall!
so glad it's going well for you! bedroom transitions are hard... and i am SO ordering one of these for EACH of my kids! mornings seem to get earlier and earlier, especially in the summer. wish i had invented it with you. :)
We bought a clock similiar to that about 6 months ago and love it!! It has eliminated early morning wake-ups. :) Love that all is going well for your boys in their room!
