It's been a running joke that I just have never had much of a nesting instinct with my other pregnancies...
Until now. This pregnancy I am feeling it in a big way.
This weekend however has ended up being most unusual.
As my desire for nesting has only increased as I enter my 3rd trimester, 2 things occurred to "un-nest" our house.
Yesterday we were working away in the baby's room. I was really excited to have a new wall paper border to replace the torn off one from P. The room was really taking shape!
My husband went on-line to sell one out of our 2 cribs (since we bought 2 similar ones with the thought that as our boys got older they could have matching toddler beds later).
It turns out that this particular crib has been recalled.
The baby's crib that was just assembled last Saturday was then taken apart so that the hardware could be mailed to the manufacturer so that we can get a voucher for a new one.
I am thankful that we found this out now instead of several weeks from now but it seems like just when we were starting to get things in order we have upended the nursery and is now without a crib.
I'm excited to post pictures of a new crib when all the paper work and voucher can be redeemed...we're hoping it won't take more than a few weeks but you never know about these things.
The 2nd installment of "un-nesting" happened tonight. The boys had just fallen asleep and all was wonderfully peaceful. My sweetheart and I had just sat down to watch a movie together. (I was beyond delighted to be watching a show that did not involve sharks or machines!)
I happened to glance over and see a brown blur of something come from behind the couch across the room and run down the hallway.
YIKES!
Let it be known that I am not so good with rodents. No matter the size.
Yes. My fears were confirmed. It turned out to be a mouse.
After I had hyperventilated (quite literally) and was strongly encouraged to go upstairs, I heard banging downstairs. Next thing I know, evidence of lots of somethings had been found in our hall closet.
Now, everything and I mean EVERYTHING from the closet is out everywhere. I am told that traps will go out tomorrow while the boys and I will be FAR away from the house for the whole day.
I am thankful for my husband and father-in-law (who raced up to our house to provide the back-up/clean-up and trap set-up that I not wanting to do). Our loyal Jack Russell Terrier has somehow missed his calling!
I am not sure I want to know the extensiveness of it all...
I just know that it will feel good to get things in order once and for all!

Yuck!
LOL. I so had to laugh about the mouse. As you know of our many mouse tales, we also had one this past week. And with it came the breaking of the dishwasher. For some reason, when mice are present, our appliances seem to go out. It is always the mice's fault, at least in my estimation. Love you, sweet sister!
