4 Months Old!

It's hard to imagine how babies can grow so fast!

It appears that all our babies seem to have a turbo-growth button they push that launches them from newborn to toddler-size in 4 months time...(it helps to have a Daddy that's almost 6'4).

An update on our little prince's head:  At this point we will be waiting to go see the specialist until 6 months old.  We're praying that his skull will self-correct and fill in properly.  At the 6 month marker the specialists will be able to determine the severity and the action, (helmet, etc.) they need to take.  I'll update when we have more information...

Details I want to remember of Little Prince at 4 months:

S is a JOY!  He is a happy baby and loves to have people enteract with him.

He's now 17 pounds and almost too long for his infant carrier (can't remember his height off hand).

S loves spending his free time:  smiling and squeeling in delight at anyone who engages with him, chewing on his fingers, being tickled, and "talking" to us with very expressive use of his favorite (and only) word "goo".

He's doing realy well on a schedule and at this point he's usually awake for 1 1/2 hours and then sleep for 1 1/2 hours throughout the day then repeat the cycle.  This past week he's showing signs of being able to stay awake a bit longer so we may gradually move him to the 2 hours awake, 2 hours asleep cycle.  At night he normally sleeps from 8pm-8:00am with a dream-feed around 11pm.

Swaddling (the double swaddle) serves to keep his little hands toasty warm and contained from scratching his face as he goes in and out of sleep cycles.  In the morning he wakes up smiling and overjoyed, when I come and get him!  :)

He also enjoys sitting up on people's laps to look around and take everything in.

We're incredibly thankful for our precious baby boy!
