10 Months Old!

10 whole months old!  This past month we've seen an amazing amount of development with our sweet baby boy...

He's crawling, pulling up to standing and can transition now from laying down to sitting up -- all of this was mastered within a few days of each other!  Also 2 new teeth joined his mouth up top to make 4 total.

This pics below were taken last Sunday when he was still recovering from the horrible virus.  As I now look back at these pics I can see how exhausted he looks.  I'll try to take a few ones soon to capture his spunky expressions and smile.

Our sweet orthopedist, Randall, said at S's last helmet visit a few weeks ago that at that point we were be 4 to 6 weeks away from being able to be helmet-free!  I'm really guarding my heart on this great news in case it's longer than this, I just don't want to get my hopes up.  But we do know that he's come a LONG way and it will be in the near future (even that "near" future seems like FOREVER to a momma who just wants to cuddle him without a helmet).

Randall also mentioned that all we need is a growth spurt coupled with a huge development advancement to get the brain to grow, forcing the skull to follow to fill in the remaining spot on his left side.  I'm thinking (and praying) that all his learning of crawling and the like would qualify!  :)  Guess we'll see in 2 weeks when he goes in again to get a head scan and measurement.

You are so sweet, thank you Stephanie!

How funny about Randall!! I'll ask him when we see him in 2 weeks! He's been doing it for over 30 years and he's so gentle and kind, we just love him! I'll let you know! :)
