Dashing Through The Snow...

Our 12th Annual Christmas Tree Adventure -- (I appologize that I put the cart before the horse in posting our tree up and decorated before posting the adventure we had aquiring it)

Each year we head up to the mountains to find our Christmas tree.  This year in particular was one of the most beautiful adventures I can ever remember.  The freshly fallen powder was a dream to play in, (although many feet deep in spots).  The sun came out and the kids all had a blast playing with their friends.

It's hands down one of our favorite traditions of the entire year!

Somehow I forgot my camera and ski pants in our car (down the mountain and 15 minutes away)...thankfully, my longjohns were warm enough (although waterproof they were not!).  My dear father-in-law took the top picture from the gorgeous vantage spot on the hill where he found his tree and a good friend took and sent us the other pictures.

So glad that Grandma and Grandpa made the trek with us again too!

Up a steep hillside, deep in snow, was the winner of the contest this year for us.  Thankfully, my sweetheart does not bat an eye when it comes to obtaining these hard-to-reach trees!

The great memories made this year I will hold deep in my heart...God's beauty and magesty as well!
