Sweet Summer Moments

Summertime...

The paradox of longing for my boys to finally be home with me so that we can slow down, hang out, have fun, mixed with the reality that now I have 3 sets of eyes, all on me at the breakfast table -- first thing every morning -- just waiting for me to entertain and set their day into motion...24/7!

Here's what I'm striving for this summer, in the mist of shepherding these 3 active little boys:

Slowing down the pace, Embracing tender moments together, Creating sweet summer memories...

My desire this summer is to be more intentional about capturing these memories with my precious boys on camera so that we can look back on this special time in days/years to come.

So, here's the beginning of our sweet summer moments last weekend spending time with extended family at their farm:

A beautiful, sunny afternoon before the thundershowers rolled in...

Strawberry Shortcake

Here's to many amazing adventures and fantastic moments this summer!  :)

Great thoughts!! I read an article last year about how parents don't let their kids just "be" in the summer anymore. I am determined to NOT be one of those parents and do what I can to have my kids enjoy just playing and doing fun FREE things together as much as possible, exploring God's world and beauty!

Um.. your boys are stinkin' adorable!!
