Farewell to Summer, Hello to Fall (Including a Family Update)

This summer has been wonderful and full of fun and adventures.  It has also been an eventful one for our family.

This past week it was refreshing to go down to the river for a picnic dinner after T's soccer practice on a day that turned out to be around 90 degrees...a beautiful ending to a great summer.

This fall is bringing a great deal of change for us and it feels a bit like we're diving in faith into the river with both feet!

We now have 5 days a week with soccer between T and P.  Mon-Thurs evenings are games or practices and T now has games on Saturdays.  It has taken some getting used to as I figure out logistics with dinner, the shuttling of our boys to and from and being creative with how to occupy a busy toddler during these times -- that being said, T and P are having an absolute blast!

The biggest change, however, is that my sweetheart has decided to take a leap of faith and leave his company and move to a different job.  We are truly excited about this new change and feel so blessed to see him in this new place, (located in a VERY charming little town, I might add!).  We've truly seen the Lord's gracious and loving hand at work.

This past Friday was his first day on the job.  All went really well.  The part we are going to take time to figure out is how we make it a successful transition with the location of his new company.  His first day on the job included a total of a 4 hour commute (2 hours each way).

We are open to seeing what the Lord has for us in the next months to come, knowing there will most likely be some big changes ahead.  It's a bit uncomfortable and unsettling for me when I really think about it -- not to know what to expect and when, but that's also when I need to remember that we only need to take one day at a time...

I'll continue to post updates when I have them.  I know it's going to be good -- and sure to be another grand adventure!  :)

Wow! Big news! Can I ask what town? We are actually en route right now - moving to Texas! Our house sold in six days and God has paved the way, but it's continuing to be a HUGE leap of faith, and would covet your prayers! I'll keep you and your hubby in my prayers!

That is so exciting! Congrats on the new job and I'm sure if you decide a move is in order that all will be well. Way to go with that soccer juggling!
