White Christmas Indeed

The view out our living room window on Christmas morning revealed trees heavy laden with snow. The branches simply yielded themselves to the thick snow that blanketed them.

Upon our return from the snowy mid-west we were greeted by a great deal of snow at our house as well! We were hoping and dreaming of a white Christmas...

This image of my sweet husband really touches my heart! While the boys were busy playing with all their new toys, I found my husband in our baby's room. He was simply pausing and taking a moment to drink in view of the peaceful snow as it gracefully fell to the ground. His dream really DID come true! In a big way!

~ "I do hope your Christmas has had a little touch of Eternity in among the rush and pitter patter and all. It always seems such a mixing of this world and the next--but after all, that is the idea!" ~ Evelyn Underhill

OHHHH - that is gorgeous! Something about snow transcends such peace. It really does quiet things (scientifically true, it does). Snow always reminds me so much of how God cleanses us and makes our hearts as white as snow.

I miss snow so much down here in GA. :(

That is so beautiful - the trees are so different there than ours are here. Looks like Narnia. :)

I love your quote at the bottom of the post... it captures our reality well, a mixing of the now and the not yet. I feel it every year...

Happy New Year to you and your family!

Love,
Jen

So beautiful! It was 65 degrees here as we tucked the kids in bed on Christmas Eve! I tried to explain to Jack why this can be a good thing, but failed miserably!
