An update on our baby news...
Last night we spent a few hours at the hospital to have a gel treatment to get me ready for the scheduled induction today. When doctor saw that I was 2 1/2 cm dilated and my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart she decided to not do the gel seeing that it may send me immediately into hard labor with a chance of putting unneeded stress on the baby's heart. We're really thankful for my OB and her wisdom in this decision.
After walking the mall last night and even getting a haircut at 9 pm (it felt strange to be doing that so late at night!) we came back home to rest.
Sleep was hard to come by and I was up several hours at a time throughout the night as contractions continue. At this point we're waiting to either be able to get into the hospital for the induction (apparently the beds are all the rage at the hospital this morning and there's no spot for me) or my labor needs to intensify so I can be admitted...
Right now it's a waiting game to see which will come first! :)
Stay tuned!

take the stairs!! do stairs, stairs, and more stairs!!
My midwife started my labor by stripping my membrane. I was in very very early labor for a day or two. So in order to get that labor kickstarted - we did stairs!! I can't tell you how many steps and how many times I took them in two days, but it worked because when I finally had regular contractions and was breathing through them - when we arrived at the hospital I was 7 cm dilated!! Oh and this was two weeks before she was due. We kind of kickstarted labor on our own by stripping membranes and taking stairs. Good luck!! Let your body to the work - not the medical systems
can't wait...!
