Introducing: Little Red!

A *wee* bit more progress, (emphasis on WEE), has come together here on the homestead.  It may not have seemed like much to look at, however this building is now a functional extra living space and laundry room, (and painted too!)!

I'd like to introduce you to "Little Red"!  We opted to "test drive" the red paint, (we landed on: Heritage Red by Benjamin Moore), we'd like to use on our big barn we have in store in our building plans.  Turns out we really love it so it's Heritage Red for our "Big Red"!  (Perhaps I love "Little Red" because it reminds me of a one room school house, just add a bell!)

I deeply wish we had more news to report on the building-front.  Alas, progress is very slow going.  We are now about a month behind where we thought we'd be with hearing back from the county and cannot move forward to break ground or build until the county approves all the papers.

We're trying to focus at the moment that we are SO very grateful for this new space for our family to utilize and to expand our 26 foot trailer space a bit!

An inside peek of "Little Red".

This hillside is the spot where we sit and enjoy the warm glow of the summer sunsets each night.

The more dirt, the more fun!  :)
(Can I say once more, thank goodness for our newly hooked up washer?!!)

The "wagon-wheel" driveway now on our property, somehow this just seems fitting for us as we feel a bit like the pioneers, (but SO MUCH easier!!).

Our apple orchard is ready for the picking, I am hoping to get to that this weekend!

At the end of the day, we still may not be in a house yet, (or even know when the building may begin!),  however we have been given a lovely place to dream, and each other.  For this we are thankful.
