Frosty Winter Walk

Saturday morning was a chilly 28 degrees...the fact that the sun was attempting to shine through the thick fog helped us overlook the freezing temps. We all bundled up and headed out for a family hike through the woods.

Heading out on a cold mid-winter's day, I expected the ground to be slick with ice and frost, however, I had never dreamed that the trees would display the ice so beautifully! I've never seem something like this before! It almost takes on the appearance of snow.

Beautiful!! We had an "ice storm" one year and everything was encased in ice - it was so cool. That was probably at least 4 years ago though - What great pictures!!

Beautiful! It's actually colder here, lately. Can you believe that? What a wonderful walk it must have been!
