I say a "little" cleaning because what really is usually "easy" task takes double, (or more), the amount of time when the boys are around. This proved to be no exception to that basic unspoken rule of thumb...thus the reason for our baby's closet not being organized and sorted through since LAST January. Usually I shy away from a task that I feel is impossible to take on without help with watching the boys, but after this little taste of spring in the air, I was ready to do something!
It's awesome to have walk-in closets for both boys rooms, however, since there's SO much room, I tend to just "spread out". And the beauty, (and my downfall), with closets is that you can just close the door and no one has to see it!
I am really proud of myself for taking this closet on in the midst the boys coming and going -- either playfully tipping the towers of clothes or removing items that I carefully sorted by size, etc. What can you do?!
This "small task" did take 2 days, (off and on), to complete but I am thrilled with the results!! Now, instead of newborn clothes mixed in with 18-24 months, they are all in their proper storage tubs.

I have to admit that I got really sentimental with the precious, tiny newborn outfits! Were my boys REALLY that size?! How long ago that seems now!
I'm inspired and excited to take on Mr. T's closet next! Spring cleaning, here I come with determination!! :)

good for you! doesn't organization feel good (when it's done)? both my kids' closets are in desperate need, and i just started to scratch the surface of sorting joey's last week. (i LOVE those tubs, too, and mark ours by size on a pink or blue 3x5 card, depending on the gender of clothes.) you are inspiring me!
