RV Show Part 2

This special time only comes but once a year. It beckons my husband like a tantalizing siren in The Odyssey...it's otherwise known as the annual RV Show!

I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves...the only one not in the pictures is me. Somehow, I don't think I could have mustered up the beaming smiles like I captured from my guys. The smiles just say it all!

Yes, the extraordinarily cheesy music was ever so present, (like perhaps what one could hear from an elevator inside a dentist's office). And it just would not quite be the same without the sleazy salesmen, (many of them this year donned bright red ties -- which I can only guess would be to attract attention from people. That, or they were trying to fit in with all the Valentine's Day Decor that was boldly splashed throughout the place.)

Now that we're on the topic of decor, for the winner of the eye-catching decorations, I really can't decide between the GIANT inflatable gorilla that was easily 60 feet tall placed in the middle of the arena -- looming over everyone below, (again, I suppose to attract people), or the huge arch way balloons (Valentine ones, I might add), scattered throughout. Both were in a class of their own. Although, "classy" seems to be a whole other thing, at least to me.

I have to say, all joking aside, the show was not as challenging to endure as I had built up in my mind. I loved watching my boys (of course, husband included) light up EACH time they would climb up and step inside each one (amazing to me that they all look just about the same inside, but to them, the grand appreciation was not lacking -- even after several hours of seeing 50 or more!). It's so fun to see these boys dreaming of where they might be able to travel and what possible adventures might be in store for them!

No, we did not buy any...yet. I know that it really is on our horizon. I am going to chose to embrace this and make the most of it.

I'll close by quoting my entry last February after this same event:

We each have things that really make us light up and make us feel right at home (for some of us that "home" just happens to have wheels attached to it). :) Oh BOY!

We also did get to see my good friend and college roommate and her wonderful husband...and although the RV Show was fun, I think this was the highlight of my day thus far! :)

How sweet of you to take your boys and man on a male adventure! :) The scary thing is, I actually probably would have loved going too! I do find the red balloons and cheesy music quite funny...

We live right off the I-5 corridor - seriously - so you will have to swing through on one of your RV trips - in the future of course.
