Life is hinged on a delicate pendulum, ever swinging. Often this creates a perfect collision of beauty and mess. At times, it seems the existence of more beauty brings a grander mess.
For us, this new season we seem to have been catapulted into, is indeed this aforementioned messy-beautiful.
Permits were granted for the building of our farmhouse -- and away we go!
Praise the Lord for this long-awaited progress! Although I am a bit lacking in knowledge of "all things construction", above is a picture our newly laid "footings". I am told this is the precursor to the foundation. It's not much to look at, however, the mention of a foundation sounds promising to me! :)
This truck bed holds the temp walls to hold the concrete for the foundation!
Above sits the corner of the master bedroom then the porch in the distance where there's a break in the flow of the boards.
Tucked under a canopy of trees is our newly created road/drive way as it meanders up past our 26-foot home and onto the farmhouse.
Next up is the pouring of foundation and the county's approval of our big barn-garage! As always, stay tuned! :) Hip-Hip Hooray for progress!!
