Hello, Yellow!

Blame it on the rain, low vitamin D, or my blues from our baby's helmet...I found myself mentioning to my sweet husband this past weekend that I long for a cheerful living room.  A "happy room".

As mentioned in the past, the moment I mention an item for the honey do-list -- simply mention it -- I find myself in the midst of a project a moment later.  No joke!

I dearly love my achiever husband and really do love the way he takes care of things, quite instantly.  I should not at all be surprised that he, on his own, set his alarm on Memorial Monday at 5:30 am just so that he could be at the Lowe's by 6 am when the doors opened.  (He apparently wanted to get a majority of our living room completed before we headed out the door for the wedding at 9:45 am.)

The evening before he had gone to get paint samples to check out the new cheerful options...

He was thinking a cheery but a light shade, I was wanting to go all out.  We're talking "sun glow", yes, that IS the name of the color I fell in love with.

Being the amazingly supportive husband, he was fine with my choice of sun glow, aka: "hello, yellow!".

It is a very happy room and on a rainy and otherwise dreary day this spot in our house is an indoor source of pure sunshine!  :)

Many thanks to my sweetheart!

wow - go CM!! I have never and I mean never heard of a husband who will willingly wake up at the crack of dawn ON A HOLIDAY no less and fetch paint for his wife to paint FOR HER.

You, my friend, are one lucky lady!!! :) Remember these moments when he is traveling all the time :)

Cheers! (and to answer your question on my blog: yes, the cottage cheese blends smoothly and makes it a ton more creamy than adding just regular milk and adds more protein and calcium than anything else. I always blend until the lumps disappear. HTH)
