Some "firsts" I really welcome and can't wait for...today would certainly not be one of those moments!
The boys were really enjoying bath time and had all their new bath toys from their birthdays including a delightful Thomas the Train waterwheel and Junior Shaving Kit (just like Daddy's) complete with face brush, mirror, shaving cream and play razor. VERY cute!
Peppin was getting a big kick out of filling up cups with bath water and then (much to my discouragement) drinking this water.
All was well...UNTIL I went to open the drain. That's when I made "THE DISCOVERY"...yep, one of the boys had left a present bobbing up and down with the waves in the bath tub. Until now it had been hidden amongst the large bubbles. I have always heard about this happening to other moms and been amazed that I could go 3 full years without an incident...until now.
Now I was faced with a dilemma. Do I take both boys out, sterilize the tub while they stand (dripping wet and possibly wetting or popping on the floor as they wait), then re-bathe them? Do I just "call it good" that they had been sitting among many bubbles and had a good lather already? What does one do in a situation like this??
So, moms out there...what do you do when a "little log" is bobbing along in the tub with the kids?

HA!!! Too funny.... It's been 4 years and Emma has yet to leave a gift in the tub. (and now that she's been potty trained for a couple years she never should!) Knowing my boy Luke though, he will be the one who does it. Until then... I really have no advice! :) Hopefully it will never happen again!
LOL!!! It has happened a couple of times for us, but it has always been toward the end of bath time. I've always just scooped the poop out real quickly, and then scooped the kids out. Probably the wrong order, huh??? I'd say "your good." Just have them wash their hands afterward. I don't think the poop would harm them unless ingested...ugh!

This happened once to me. I think Andy and I had to team up. I think I did call it quits on the bath. He got them dressed and I cloroxed the toys and tub. I hope it doesn't happen again! I would probably just get them out and safe if I was alone and sterilized later. But that's just me. Is that gross?
