Zoo Day

Yay for "Zoo Day"! Today was the special day that we had set aside to join some friends at the zoo!

It really was a zoo at our house to get out the door to get to the zoo BUT we made it!! I am so thankful that my 2 friends that joined me both said the same thing about getting both sets of their 2 kids out the door too!

The day started with me trying to squeeze the wagon into the very small trunk of my husband's car (better gas millage) and discovering that it was too big (the wagon not the trunk), then attempting to fit the double stroller and finding it also too big, then moving on to settling for the single stroller for our 3 year old and the hip carrier for our 1 year old (however discovering that I had forgotten the hip carrier for our one year old when we were pulling up to the zoo)!

Everything went well I just alternated between holding one of the kids while pushing the other in the stroller or having our 3 year old walk when he wanted to. We had an opportunity to see many fun animals today! It went really well today considering we had 6 kids, all 4 years old and under!

How fun! It must not be as hot there as it is here... just thinking about a trip to the zoo makes me break out in a sweat. :)

I am so happy to have met you! I really felt at home with you and you made me feel that we had known each other for a lifetime! You are so confident and I admire that you in. We must see each other soon!!! If you ever need support while hubby is away, please call upon me! Sean is often gone a lot during the week so we could keep each other company!

I feel a minivan coming on after that trip...better gas mileage and plenty of room. I finally did it and I love the Odyssey. Glad you had fun at the zoo, and hope you have a great time camping this weekend.

LOL!! Oh Amy, I think you are right!!!

We've been trying to resist for so long but it really does make a lot of sense when I think about loading our boys in and out with all our "gear" needed for each outing!

You don't necessarily have to go with a mini van, there are other options you know! :) (I happened to opt for one of those options!) HA HA!! It was wonderful seeing you and the boys at the zoo! Looking forward to seeing you next week!
