I think I just made up a new word to describe exactly how I am feeling. Today I picked up my new glasses from the eye doctor, and then it hit me. Although I have been in my 30's for a couple of years, this is the first time I am REALLY feeling the 30-ness. The reality, my eyes just aren't what they used to be!
What's more than that though, I am realizing the need to accept the fact that things, small as they may seem, are changing. And, not accepting it won't change a thing about stopping the aging process.
I am so thankful for glasses and the great ease on my eyes even as I type this! I'm also thankful that my sweet husband has commented at least 20 times already how much he loves them, that means the world to me!
My new motto for myself about aging: Embrace with grace!
Please remind me of that in another 30 years! :)

Hi Julie Anne!
I am turning 30 this year - I hope I embrace it as well as you do! Love the glasses!

embrace with grace -- i like that! i'll try to remind myself of that the next time i'm tempted to pluck a gray hair from my head... but really, you look SO cute! glasses NEVER looked that good on me when i had to wear them!
I love your glasses! You look very smart... :)
You found a pair that fits you so well! :) They look fabulous!!
Those glasses are really chic - good job!
I love my 30's. I wouldn't trade where I am at right now with anything - even though my body is aging, I love the wisdom and maturity that comes with age.
Wow! Thanks, sweet friends! You sure know how to make a girl feel loved! :) Thank you all so much for your kind words!
You look adorable. It is surreal how the years creep up. I will be 33 next month...33! Yikes! As long as the teenagers keep wanting to hang out with me at church, I'll be okay. :)
PS I started using wrinkle cream this month. The crow's feet have begun! :)
How can we be in our 30's already? I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in our EARLY 20's having Ivar's clam chowder bread bowls in the SUB.
I LOVE the glasses!
I have to ditto Kelly . . . . and everyone else! You look SO cute! Glasses only made me look like a nerd, for you they add style!
Embrace with grace! amen
