When One Thing Leads to the Next...

Our comforter has been ripping for quite some time now...in fact, I think it's been happening for the last 8 years, or so. We've tried to ignore it's small tears here and there as the years go on, however, yesterday morning was the straw, (more like the last rip), that broke the camel's back.

All through the night on Saturday night, each time my husband would roll over in bed, there was a loud ripping sound. By yesterday morning it was so bad that the feather insert would not stay inside.

Since Shannon was willing to help me shop for a new one, we headed out yesterday afternoon for what turned out to be a recreation of our master bedroom! At one point Shannon turned to me when we were driving around and commented that we were making some fun memories...indeed we were!

After finding an awesome sale on a new bed set and curtains to coordinate, we picked up some paint, (as per my husband's request), for an accent wall on the way home.

By the time we arrived home my ambitious husband had the bed apart and everything ready to start painting.

Last night around 9:30 pm we had a new room! What a FUN day it was...and so special to be able to share it all with Shannon, too! We joked about creating a business: "S and JA -- New Bedrooms In a Day".
