It's been a crazy week and I have not had a moment to write anything down yet...
Last weekend we were blessed to have a special visit from my sister. The time spent was so wonderful. We had a fun breakfast with my sweet cousin as well!
On Monday afternoon, as I was reading books to the boys before nap time, I began to feel really dizzy. By the time I had gotten both of them down I was also really nauseous. After a phone call to my husband, he came home and when the boys got up took them to his parents for playtime and dinner so that I could rest. By the time he got home to put them down I could hardly stand due to vertigo.
We headed off to the ER while my mother-in-law stayed with the boys. At the ER I was diagnosed with some condition that I can not pronounce but the main root of the problem stemmed from the fluid in my middle ear. The meds they prescribed helped out tremendously, however, left me extremely drowsy.
All day Tuesday I spent in bed and could not function beyond that. Thankfully, my husband worked from home that day and helped with the boys!
That night my husband hopped over our fence and landed on his foot wrong. After icing his tender foot for quite a while, only to have the pain and swelling increase rapidly, (and was not able to put any pressure on it), he headed off to the ER at 11:30 pm -- driving himself -- with a stick shift!
He got back after 1:30 am and was diagnosed with a severe sprain. His alarm went off at 5:15 am so that he could get out the door and catch a plane early that morning. I have NO IDEA just how he made it through the airport with his laptop and suitcase, (I hope to sometime be filled in on the details of that one!)!
He's now on the plane heading home and should be here around 1 am this morning. Poor guy!
Tomorrow morning we're throwing a birthday party for our sweet T who turned four this week...I also need to do a post about his special day on Thursday as well.
Tomorrow night we have a good-bye party for some friends, Sunday morning we teach the 3 year-olds at Sunday School, and Sunday night we're making dinner for our last Bible study of the season.
What a week! I look forward to spending some time detailing all about the birthday party and our amazing 4 year old!
However, that will have to wait since I need to get back to folding laundry and cleaning up for the party.

Oh my goodness! You poor thing. What a week you've had. I hope you are feeling much better by now! My mom had a middle ear infection when I was in high school and I remember how awful she felt. And your poor hubby!
Hopefully next week will be calmer for you.
Yikes! When I have weeks like yours I just keep repeating with each day, "Finish well..." and then just take each day separately. I hope you and your sweet husband feel better and can enjoy the party!!
