Potty training has always scared me and I dreaded having to do it once again with our 2 year old. However, last week he INSISTED on only wearing "big boy undies" since, and I quote, "diapers are for babies".
What is a mom to do when the child begins to just train himself?!
I'll admit, I was a bit nervous when he also insisted on wearing these big boy undies all night (12 hours!), but just ran with it. He surprises me each morning as he wakes up dry -- so I guess he really is ready.
On Saturday we took him out for a "potty party" at an ice cream shop while T was with my in-laws.

This is exactly how Aidan trained! Way earlier than I expected (about 2 and 3 months) he just announced he wanted underware, then never had an accident! CRAZY! Such a difference from what the first one was!
We'll have to have him come play with K and show him how the big boys do it. :)
oh my goodness - GO P!!!! that is so so exciting!! give him a big high 5 for us. and we're all looking forward to seeing uncle chris!!!!
