Updates From the Past Few Weeks...

I have a few updates...

Many of you have asked for updates about Baby S and also if I have figured out how to tweek our schedule so that I can catch my breath...

To start with, Sweet S is completely well after 7 days of a fever, 10 days of wheezing and loosing a pound (thankfully he had a bit to spare in that department!).  Thank you for your prayers and concern.  It makes my heart ease when I hear him breathing effortlessly once more.

His head is an area that still needs attention and prayer.  If I'm not careful to lift my concerns in prayer in this aspect of my life, it can easily consume me and fill me with fear and anxiety.  He is still being positioned up on his side during the day while I have a chance to watch him...however, he is such a mover though that he's often back to his favorite left side part way through.

We will go in toward the end of February to the pediatrician for further assessment.  Until then, I just keep attempting to get pressure off that side of his head.

Lastly, for those who sweetly asked about me catching my breath in the midst of busy days...

I have begun to be a lot more proactive each day and think through when I can have my boys have room time while I do whatever I want/need to do that day.  It's tricky with T having pre-K 3 afternoons a week and us running back and forth 15 minutes each way for drop off and pick up.  So, each of those days looks different than the Tuesdays and Fridays without school, but regardless, I still now make sure that there are a few moments of downtime for us all, each day.

This has made a HUGE difference in helping me feel like I can catch my breath and recover from a husband that travels often and almost constant care of 3 boys, 5 and under.

Thankfully, now that I've got some time carved out for me, baby well again and husband back in town for a few more weeks, it seems much more managable.  It's nice to be able to catch my breath again!

Bless you, sweet girl! As Mary Engelbreit says: That's the problem with life, it's just so DAILY!!!!!
Your mindfulness is so important to carving out that time for yourself every day that you possibly can, to keep the hours from becoming a runaway train ride. MUCH LOVE, MOMMA

I haven't read in a while. So sorry that you've had sickness. I know it is so hard with a traveling husband. The neck issue sounds very stressful, too. Praying for the baby now. As usual, you have a beautiful attitude. Keep looking to Christ, sweet friend.
