Today is a milestone for our baby. It's Peppin's 1st birthday!
We are now crossing over from counting by months to simply counting years. Although it has just been one day since yesterday, he's now "1 year old" instead of "11 months". I know that many people still count by months until 2 years, then you really do talk only about years instead of months but there is still something so sacred about the first 12 months.
I LOVE babies and so it's harder on me than my husband to see our little one growing up really fast -- he feels differently and is really excited to see our baby "really doing stuff now".
Today we want to celebrate and thank the Lord for Peppin, he's an unbelievably precious gift from above. It is so exciting to see how passionate he is about life -- his zeal is wonderfully contagious! His wide open smile lights the room and warms the heart of anyone who receives it. We look forward to seeing the special child that God has in store for our little boy!
We pray that he will one day seek Jesus with all his heart, mind and strength.
May the Lord shine upon you and bless you, sweet little one! You have great things ahead just for you! We love you more deeply than words can begin to describe!

Happy birthday to the Birthday Boy! Babies do grow up, don't they? Sigh.
I remember spending the whole month before Lucy's first birthday almost 'in mourning' that she was turning 1... I think I'm already doing it with Josiah and he's only 10 months! Congrats to the birthday boy!
How adorable! I can't believe he is 1. I remember your visit last October so vividly and he was the screaming 5 month old who didn't like to fly! Enjoy your little guy and maybe have another one? (just kidding) I am already getting that and my little one is just 5 weeks!
