Noble and Lovely

As promised, I'm including a picture of a new treasure from a garage sale this past weekend. Although it's not much, I was really excited to find something functional to place on the wall next to the computer. It's magnetic AND a chalkboard!

If I was really brave, I could even do something on the corners or as a border...any ideas??



This particular new belonging will serve to point me straight back to where I need to be...thinking upon and dwelling on:

"...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things." ~ Philippians 4:8

I plan on writing verses, a name of someone who's on my heart and needs prayer, or something that makes me smile. I'm looking forward to this new "sunbeam" that came into my life! Just having a colorful piece of chalk nestle in my hand takes me right back to my teaching days...

Continuing from last week, it's sometimes the simple things that are great!

Next, I plan to take pics of the first room to be worked on (our living room)...stay tuned! :)

I definitely think you should "cute it up!" A border would be very cute. Good idea! Sorry we missed you this weekend, we had to keep it short so we really had to limit our visits. Next time maybe we can hit you! Maybe you could bring the boys down this summer and we could let them all get acquainted?

I LOVE your "cute it up" encouragement...would ribbon do the job? Hot glue?? You are really good at that kind of thing!

Hi! I am so glad that Sarah led me to your blog! How fun to see your beautiful family and also to read your sweet, encouraging words! Funny, today in my Bible Study we were talking about having something in front of us daily to look at, be it pictures or verses, etc. Something to help us remember what God has done, as He tells us to do so often in scripture. Your new "find" is a great way to do that! I can't wait to see more!

I love the chalkboard!! You can definitely add to it... a think ribbon would work or you could even paint it depending on the look you are going for. I can't wait to see pictures of your living room and especially the "after" shots when you are done!
