It was an encouraging day on the home front! After several very difficult days with our baby's injured foot, we had good news from the pediatrician.
Although we still do not know if it's broken or a bad sprain, he's beginning to show less pain when moving around! His cast is off now. He will be able to keep it off since his body is showing signs of knowing his limits. The doctor said that his foot will allow him to walk only when it's ready. He won't walk right now, however, the doctor did get him to put his sore foot down to stand with her help...this is the first time since last Thursday before the accident that he has allowed anything like this!
It may take several more weeks to fully heal but he seems to be moving in the right direction! This is good news! We will need to go back in 2 weeks only if he's still not walking and, at that point, may need to see a pediatric orthopedist, but we'll just take it one day at a time and count the blessings that we have seen take place today!
Another beautiful sight we witnessed today is the return of the gleam in our sweet little boy's eyes! At dinner tonight we noticed that the sparkle is back, (along with his wonderful spunkiness), in full force! It's never been so great to see him smiling and "living it up" like only he can!
Finally, like a sweet cherry on the top of an amazing chocolate cake, my sweet mother-in-law created a gorgeous bouquet for us from the flowers in her yard (see above picture). It sits proudly on our kitchen table tonight as a reminder to me of our encouraging day. I was so low and in need of encouragement, today, my cup is overflowing once again.

Hurray for babies returning to their spunky ways! It's always so sad to see them sick!
I am glad to hear that P is doing better. Hang in there JA. You are a trooper. God will only give us as much as we can handle. You can do this! He WILL be back to 100% normal before you know it.
So glad to hear that Pippen is better - or at least on the road to getting better. JA you are a wonderful mother. God has little Pippen in His hands now and always.
