Celebrating Simplicity

Today I'd like to take a moment to celebrate simplicity.

As the years go by, I am discovering there can be found an absolute beauty in simplicity.

Sometimes the simplest things are more profound and elegant than things bigger and brighter -- they just seem to stand out on their own. It is my goal this week to seek out the simple things and admire these things simply because there is no complexity to them.

A warm smile, a sweet word from a friend, a genuine hug, a bouquet of spring flowers or simply, "I love you", spoken from my wonderful husband. These things stand out in my mind as beautiful.

Simplicity is often overlooked and underestimated, however, it's something simple that can stand boldly and pack a punch on it's own just by being simple. Now that's something to celebrate!

Very well said:) I agree, a hug or "I love you" especially from your kids or husband goes a long way. Brittany randomly says I love you now and every time she says it, my heart melts!!!
