Another full day, starting with JD attacking my ear at 7:00 am, Mr T was up at 7:30 and the show was pretty much on the road by 8:00 - Kathy was out the door at 8:30...what's wrong with this picture.....everything! Well, it was Garage Sale day on the ridge and she was on a Mission for Julie Anne.. Well, that left the Boys guarding the ranch. Grandpa puts lots of Jam on the toast and Mr. T had his breakfast on the sofa watching Ceillou - spelling? We decided to have story time, started with a few good Bible stories, quickly migrated to bears in the woods and taking turns to see who could tell the wildest tale...I think Mr. T won, something about a race car driver dying in a crash and going to heaven and playing in a tunnel and on a big jumper...Mr. P had crib time while Grandpa and Mr. T spun em up, with lots of reactions and whooping and hauling.. So, we decided to head for the ridge, look for some good toys..find Grandma..and yup..we met up with her at Starbucks, choc milk for kids, banana bread, windows down and cruising...we spotted a few good deals, managed to get a basketball stand in the back along with a few clothes for the kiddos...all and all - a good outing. Grandma took Mr. T and Mr. P and I headed for the barn with eyes drooping. The afternoon was bear hunting in the backyard woods, more John Deere time and helping Grandma plant some plants, after a run to Home Depot. Maybe a bit too much hard playing after dinner and a big ice cream cone put them over the top at bath time...but it's finally getting quiet upstairs - 9:00 pm.
~ In every season, Life's Garden provides blessings. Along our journey, we are given breathtaking glimpses of heaven, we often just have pause long enough to recognize these glimpses for what they truly are. Welcome to my attempt to bloom where I've been planted -- among the sweet blossoms and tangled thorns. I invite you to come look and see how God lovingly makes roses to bloom.~
