This drop of dew represents a small taste of God's awesome majesty and power as we walk through life and are not entirely focused on Him. We catch only small snap shots of His amazing glory. However, when we invest in a relationship with God through reading the Bible, praying and spending time with other believers, we are able to begin seeing glimpses that go beyond the drop of dew and allow us to gaze at the Source of all water.
Much like the contrast between the little amount water in dew and an awesome raging river, God will become much more real and tangible when we make the effort to seek Him as the Source of strength and power in our lives.
I believe we'll be blown away by how limited our view was when we see what we have been missing all along. When we are able to see God as the Source of strength in our lives, we will see more clearly that He can and will work powerfully, if we allow and invite Him to work in our lives. Like the mighty, rushing river, His work is done with nothing being able to stand in the way.
It's taking me a long time to get to the point where I surrender myself to Him. (And is still a daily/hourly decision to do so.) However, as I am slowly learning, I am beginning to see that when I have sought Him first, (and decided that I needed to abandon my limited and feeble attempts to run my life), I place Him as Lord in my life. He always surprises me at how He can transform and work so powerfully in my life. Knowing that He is the Sovereign One, not me, I need to trust Him as He is working.
Trusting Him does not always come easy, but I know that's what He asks of me.
He honors our faith and our sacrifice of time and efforts and will not disappoint. We need to be ready to be swept away by His presence as we experience Him like never before...as unpredictable as the rushing river and as majestic as its cascading waterfalls along its path.
I think it's time for me to look further than the tiny dew drop as I long to experience much, much more that God has to offer me. I encourage you to try it too.

Happy Mother's Day sweet Julie Anne! You are an amaaazing mom :). Thanks for sharing your heart - it's so wonderful that you're recording how the Lord is working in our life! What a sweet testimony it will be to your boys someday as they can look back and read :).
:) Thank you so much, Laura! It's difficult sometimes to share things so deep at the heart level and just be "put out there" but, like you said, it's great to have a way of looking back and seeing just how God is teaching me.
Thanks for your sweet encouragement! Love you, sweet girl! :)
