We all have moments in parenthood where we sit back and see very tangibly just how much our children are changing and growing up. Today was a proud moment for me as I did just that. Our 3 year old has always amazed us with how cooperative and easy going he is (most of the time)...
I'd like to take a moment and appreciate our sweet boy and some of the things that make him so special. As a baby, he would go days without crying. As we transitioned him to a "big boy bed" I was afraid that he'd be getting up on his own and wondering around the house when he woke up, however, he has NEVER gotten out of bed without us coming in and letting him know that it's ok to get up.
When we have a treat for him after he finishes a meal, we can put it right on his plate and he will not eat the treat until he has finished all his food (even when we leave the room and are not watching!). He sleeps 12 to 13 hours each night and is now napping 2-3 hours or longer each afternoon. He often tells us when he's tired and ready to go to sleep and is normally very happy as he goes to bed when we ask him to do so.
Many months ago I asked for feedback on potty training and a majority of the moms encouraged me to wait for him to be ready and whatever I do, don't force the issue since it could backfire...I took your advice...
This past week he has been potty training himself and tells us each time he needs to go...I had not gotten around to "officially" potty training him and am thrilled that it's been a breeze so far with him initiating! He's so proud of himself and we could not be more proud of him!
I'll post of picture of him later...I am one proud momma! :)

YEAH!!! I'm so glad you let him do it in his own time, much easier on both of you! :) Way to go T!!!!
And he has great parents! Kudos to you two for your consistent love in your house, you'll never realize how much confidence and security that gives your boys, and frees them to be such great kids!
Thank you, sweet friends! You are all so encouraging! Thanks for celebrating with us! :)
