"Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders." ~ Deuteronomy 33:12
Aside from food and water, our most basic needs are for rest, protection, and love. God promises those who love and trust Him to provide all that and more.
Imagine! We can rest between His shoulders as He holds us! What a comforting and intimate image of a Father holding His child as close as He can, and we can simply take a deep sigh and rest.
How refreshing and wonderful to dwell upon that truth!
