This weekend was jam packed with fun and adventure (to use my husband's favorite word with our boys). We were able to spend a majority of the sunlight hours actually outdoors soaking up the sunlight! It was WONDERFUL!!Saturday morning was kicked off with a great time catching up with some good friends over breakfast.
We then headed to lunch with my dear cousin and her fiance...from there we wondered through beautiful fields of tulips and daffodils.The boys had great fun on the run! They were MUCH more interested in playing hide and seek in the fields that seemed to go forever than stopping and smelling the pretty flowers...but who wouldn't be when your almost 2 and 4 years old?!
After our cold and snowy winter the tulips are having a late start to their season...thankfully we were able to see plenty that were kicking off the show. Tulips are by far my favorite flower of all.
It's always a treat to be able to also see the daffodils too!
Next we headed to Deception Pass to enjoy the breathtaking views from the bridge above and then hiked our way down to the beach to skip rocks.

I'm just wishing it was Saturday again. Breakfast with friends, running around muddy fields with the boys and then skipping rocks at the beach ... now that's heaven on earth!

:) Glad you like the pics! Christy, we did naps on the go that day. Little one had a power nap on the way to lunch...other than that, no naps. Thankfully, it worked out beautifully! :)

your little ones are getting so big! i know how challenging these years can be. trust me, they fly by fast. it's draining now, it's draining emotionally when they are older. my oldest is 14 and i wish at times he was 3. that can be easier to deal with in a few ways!! hang in there. stick to your instincts and be consistent. you'll make it. 4 is a FUN age too!
